Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PetMemorium. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

PetMemorium is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 to create or use an account. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you should use PetMemorium only with permission from a parent or guardian where applicable.

You are responsible for activity through your authenticated account and for maintaining control of your email or Google account, magic links, devices, and sessions. Do not improperly share authentication details or temporary Support verification credentials. Provide reasonably accurate information where the service requires it, and contact support@petmemorium.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

PetMemorium provides an AI-powered pet companion experience shaped by the information and memories you choose to provide. Applicable Pet information, confirmed memories, recent context, and feature-specific information may shape AI responses. Generated behavior or dialogue may sometimes be imperfect or inaccurate.

PetMemorium does not recreate a pet's consciousness. The AI is not literally the real pet, and PetMemorium does not provide supernatural communication with pets after death. AI-generated material is not independent factual proof that an unconfirmed historical event occurred; confirmed memories supplied by an owner remain the grounding for remembered personal history.

PetMemorium is not therapy or mental-health treatment, medical or veterinary advice, an emergency or crisis service, or legal or financial advice. Contact an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service when you need those services.

“User Content” includes Pet profiles, Chat messages, Recall or memory content, Interaction inputs, Little Place owner content, Moments, uploaded photos, and other material you provide. You retain your applicable ownership and other rights in User Content. PetMemorium does not claim ownership of it.

You give PetMemorium the limited permission reasonably necessary to host, store, process, technically reproduce, display, transmit, format, and convert or transform User Content to operate the service. This includes processing relevant content through applicable service and AI providers and presenting content through authenticated owner surfaces or owner-selected PRIVATE and SHARED features. This permission lasts only as reasonably necessary to operate the service and follow the applicable retention and deletion lifecycle.

When you use an AI feature, you authorize PetMemorium to process the submitted text and relevant context through applicable AI service providers for that feature. This permission does not grant advertising rights, permission to sell User Content, or a perpetual commercial license.

You should have the rights or permission reasonably necessary to upload and share submitted photos and media. PetMemorium may store, format or convert, display, and transmit that media through necessary service infrastructure, including authorized owner surfaces and an owner-selected SHARED Little Place.

A PRIVATE Little Place is available through authenticated owner surfaces. An owner may instead choose SHARED mode and make it available through a stable link. A recipient does not need an account, and anyone who receives the link may access and forward it.

You are responsible for choosing what to share. PetMemorium cannot control screenshots, copying, forwarding, caching, or re-sharing after another person receives the content or link.

Visitors are responsible for the Kind Words they submit. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, harassing, infringing, deceptive, impersonating, spam, or malicious material. PetMemorium may review, hide, decline, remove, or permanently delete contributions where appropriate. A visitor may contact support@petmemorium.com about deleting their own contribution; Support may request enough information to identify the exact contribution without material ambiguity.

You may not use PetMemorium to:

• break the law, harass, threaten, abuse, defraud, impersonate, or materially deceive another person;
• submit infringing or unauthorized content, malicious files, or harmful code;
• compromise the service or bypass authentication, authorization, upload, rate-limit, or access controls;
• access PRIVATE or SHARED material without authorization;
• use harmful scraping, automation, spam, or excessive requests; or
• interfere with the service or another person's use of it.

When you purchase Plus under the monthly subscription offer, it renews automatically each billing period until canceled. You may cancel at any time using the subscription-management method made available with the paid service. Cancellation stops the next renewal and does not normally end already-paid Plus access immediately; access continues through the end of the current paid billing period.

PetMemorium does not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time remaining in an already-paid subscription period, except where required by applicable law.

When Plus ends, existing Pets are not deleted merely because the account returns to Free. Existing content remains subject to its normal product and data lifecycle, while future use returns to Free-plan limits and applicable Free boundaries.

PetMemorium's software, design, branding, visual system, and service materials are protected by applicable rights. This does not transfer ownership of User Content to PetMemorium.

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, unexpected, or similar to output produced for someone else. We do not promise that an output is unique, exclusively owned, or copyrightable. You may use output made available through PetMemorium for ordinary personal use, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. Apply reasonable judgment, especially where generated material is not grounded in a confirmed memory.

Interruptions, maintenance, and technical failures may occur, and features may evolve, change, be suspended, or be discontinued. We recognize that the content you create and keep in PetMemorium may be especially meaningful. If PetMemorium materially discontinues a feature or the service, we will provide reasonable notice where practical. We do not guarantee permanent hosting or future export functionality.

PetMemorium may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary because of abuse, a security risk, a material violation of these Terms, protection of users or the service, or a legal requirement. Suspension is distinct from permanent account deletion and does not by itself mean account data is deleted.

Authenticated users may request permanent account deletion. The deletion process removes the account, Pets, and associated application content. Deleted application data is not restorable. Associated storage cleanup may complete asynchronously, and provider backups or logs may follow separate lifecycles. Registering later with the same login identity creates a fresh account rather than restoring deleted PetMemorium data.

PetMemorium is provided on an “as available” basis. Interruptions and technical errors may occur, AI output may contain mistakes, and we cannot guarantee that the service will meet every personal or emotional expectation. PetMemorium does not replace professional or emergency services. These statements apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law, and they do not affect rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PetMemorium will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

These Terms are subject to applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you live.

Our Privacy Policy explains how PetMemorium handles personal information. PetMemorium also relies on third-party infrastructure and AI services, and portions of the service may be affected by their availability. We do not promise the uptime, security, retention, performance, or availability of third-party services.

We may update these Terms as PetMemorium changes. We will update the effective or last-updated date and provide appropriate notice for material changes where required.
